Gracenotes Blog

Keep up with CCTO's Grace Notes Ministry by following the Grace Notes blog. To learn how, take a look at the instruction page.

Women's Connection
“…to prepare God’s people or works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faint and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”  ~Ephesians 4:12

The focus of the Women’s Connection team is to provide opportunities which help equip, train & encourage our women to connect with Jesus & with each other, bring about a maturing in Christ which builds up the church, the body of Christ so that we change our world and reach the next generation.

Be sure to visit our Life Group and Bible Study pages for meetings geared specifically to women.

Jennifer Gabriel moved to the Conejo Valley from New York in 1996.  Raised in Michigan, she and her husband George got married and started attending CCTO that same year.  Jen and George have 3 daughters: Alex, Ana, and Ariana.  She has just finished earning a Christian certificate from Fuller Seminary and has an intense passion for women, children and girls at risk.  She also enjoys reading, half marathons, mission trips, learning about other cultures, and her quiet time with the Lord.

Lesley Vlietstra

Lesley moved to the Thousand Oaks area in 2003 with her husband Jan and two girls: Megan and Rachel.  She loves reading, exercising, riding horses and spending time with family and friends.  She developed a love for God’s Word in 2000 when she joined her first Bible study group and has been passionate about learning and living God’s word ever since.

April Hood-Beesley

April moved to Thousand Oaks in 1983 from Ohio, and she and her family began attending CCTO. She has four children: Adele, Monique, Alex and Eric who are now all married with their own children (six grandchildren). For many years April was a secondary educator: teacher and assistant principal for Los Angeles School District. She retired in 2011. She enjoys cooking, reading, sewing, traveling and spending time with family. She most recently has been involved in Bible study, the children’s ministry, and is continually seeking God’s plan for her.
